Tesla Windscreen Replacement

Tesla Model 3.jpg

At Maverick Auto Glass we have specialist auto glass technicians trained for Tesla windscreen and glass roof replacements. There are essential circuit boards and wires inside Tesla's ADAS camera system housing which require specialised tools and delicate handling to be transferred over to the new replacement windscreen. Knowledge of Tesla's all-vision ADAS camera set up is also necessary in order to reset and recalibrate your Tesla after a windscreen replacement.

Tesla models we service:

  • Model 3

  • Model S

  • Model X

  • Model Y

What's different about changing a Tesla windscreen than other vehicles?

Tesla glass is some of the most expensive automotive glass on the market for a reason. It's not just the fact that there's proprietary technology involved, Tesla glass is also acoustic with UV and infrared coating. These features reduce external noise and protect the vehicles interior from UV damage. The retail price for a Tesla windscreen starts from $2925 with the model 3 all the way up to $5219 being the Model X windscreen. However, at Maverick Auto Glass we receive a wholesale discount and can offer you a price considerably less than buying retail, when you book your replacement glass with us.

More common questions about Tesla glass replacements:

Does my Tesla need to be recalibrated after a windshield replacement?

Yes, your Tesla will require a camera calibration after a windshield is replaced. This is to ensure that the advanced driver assistance system is working correctly.

Is my replacement windscreen from Tesla?

Contrary to common belief, Tesla does not manufacture their own automotive glass. Tesla outsources windshield and body glass manufacturing to two different automotive glass manufacturers; Saint-Gobain Sekurit (France) and Fuyao (China).

There are OEE (Original Equipment Equivalent) windscreens available at a cheaper price however we highly recommend using OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specification windscreen replacements for Tesla models as they are more complex than your average vehicle windscreens.
