ADAS CAMERA CALIBRATION INFORMATION
What is an ADAS system? (advanced-driver-assistance-system)

The vehicle ADAS system carries out functions such as adaptive cruise control, forward detection sensing for emergency braking, and collision avoidance as well as lane departure warning.
Why do you need to calibrate the camera after a windscreen replacement?

After your windscreen has been replaced it will most likely be in a slightly different position than before. This may only be by a few millimeters if anything and you're unlikely to even notice. However, any small change in the windscreen position can have a significant effect on the vehicle's ability to detect surroundings accurately.

How long does it take?

Around 1 - 1.5 hours depending on the vehicle. Some vehicles require a static calibration with a target board inside a workshop and some can be done via a dynamic calibration, which is done while driving the vehicle. This is usually carried out on the same day the windscreen is replaced.

How much will it cost?

If your vehicle has glass cover insurance the cost will usually be covered in full by your insurance company, when you get your windscreen replaced. However, if you're not claiming the replacement through your insurance provider we can offer competitive pricing ranging from $150 - $210 PLUS GST. depending on what vehicle you have.
